WhatsApp desktop app is available worldwide to download.  In a recent announcement by Whatsapp confirmed the launch. The Facebook-owned company said that it supports desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and more. All messages are synced with WhatsApp’s mobile devices as well.

The desktop app is available for both Windows and Mac. WhatsApp desktop client is native for both platforms, and offers features like keyboard shortcuts. If you were using WhatsApp web, you might be familiar with keyboard shortcuts.

To download the app, visit https://www.whatsapp.com/download from your desktop browser. Then, open the app and scan the QR code using the WhatsApp app on your phone (look for WhatsApp Web menu under Settings).

Just like WhatsApp Web, the new desktop app lets you message with friends and family while your phone stays in your pocket.

The desktop app is similar to the mobile version. Especially the one that it launched in August. You can find contacts to communicate with and attach emojis and files to messages. Voice dictation is supported as well. It requires users to scan a presented QR code using WhatsApp on iPhone or Android or Windows phone.
