Last weekend, Google started sending penalty message about “unnatural outbound links” to thousands of webmasters. Any links intended to manipulate PageRank or a site’s ranking in Google search results may be considered part of a link scheme and a violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines.
Google has decided, not to trust any link on that particular website. So he started sending an email to webmasters. This is not an automated email, but a dedicated Google manual actions team is sending these emails. The email was sent specifically to those site, which are manipulating the search result, by linking to other sites.

If you see this message on the Manual Actions page, it means that Google has detected a pattern of unnatural artificial, deceptive, or manipulative outbound links. Buying links or participating in link schemes in order to manipulate PageRank is a violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines.
As a result, Google has applied a manual spam action to the affected portions of your site. Actions that affect your whole site are listed under Site-wide matches. Actions that affect only part of your site and/or some incoming links to your site are listed under Partial matches.
How to check for unnatural outbound links warning
- Go to search console
- Check your message. If somehow you received an email for the “unnatural outbound links” then follow the webmaster guide to fix it.
- Also check under Search Traffic-> Manual Action. If you find something, follow the guide above to fix it.
