Google has officially declared that Google link operator is dead. Link operator, i.e. link:domain.com in Google, does not provide any useful information.
John Mueller confirmed it on Twitter that the feature is no longer around. So if you use a link:www.domain.com, you will get irrelevant results. So better not to use it.
@kunjan_13 @methode @rustybrick would probably tell you not to use the link operator in search.

I am sure, not many webmasters use it anymore. But as long as the link operator returns any results, it can be misleading and imply that the function does work.
So far, we have not received any update on when they will make sure the command returns nothing or a message that it no longer works. But for now, Google has confirmed with us that the feature is not working at all now.
So if you want to check your links, you can check it in Link report in Google Search Console.
