Facebook has appointed Adobe South Asia region MD Umang Bedi as Managing Director, India. He will lead Facebook in building and maintaining strategic relationships with top clients and regional agencies in the country.
Umang Bedi will be replacing Kirthiga Reddy. Kirthiga Reddy will return to the United States to take on a new role at the Facebook’s headquarters.
Umang has 20 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, and partnerships. He successfully built teams and grew businesses for multinational companies. At Adobe, Bedi was responsible for growing their business in India. He was helping India grow to amongst the leading markets for Adobe.
“India is known for its great talent pool. We are pleased to have Umang Bedi, a proven business executive to lead our business in India. I also want to wish Kirthiga the best in her new global role.”

Umang did his engineering from the University of Pune. He is an alumni of Harvard Business School. Also, he won the ‘40 Under Forty: India’s Hottest Business Leaders Award 2014’ in 2014.
Kirthiga is set to join the Global Accounts team at Menlo Park, CA. She will manage a set of global brands and also lead the emerging markets efforts globally for the Global Accounts team, which manages Facebook’s relationships with the world’s largest global advertisers.

Umang will start on Facebook in July 2016. Kirthiga will start her new role in August 2016.
